Musings [146 words]

Rising with the sun each morning makes every day the same. It never feels like a Monday, or a Friday, or a Sunday. I find myself forgetting what day of the week it is. Two weeks ago everyone was commenting on the struggle of the time change. I do notice that sun later into the evenings, which is quite lovely. But my mornings never changed. The time on the clocks changed, but again, I was up just before the sun.

March, however, has felt quite uninspiring compared to January and February. As the days blend together, the sunrises have been as well. There seem to be fewer and fewer sunrises that are drastically different than the day before. I think the hardest is yet to come, where the sunrises become even more similar day after day and the lake isn’t constantly changing with snow and ice.

I came across this small hole in the ice over the sand and it was just glowing against the blues of the snow and ice. The photo above took several efforts of my laying on the ice and putting my camera in the middle along the sand while hoping the ice around me didn’t continue to break away.
