Musings [134 words]
Why is winter the greatest season of the four? Because play.
There are snow angels, and catching a snowflake with your tongue, and jumping into snow piles, and running and sliding on a patch of ice, and skating and snowboarding, and the complete wonderment of these crystalized water particles coating everything in white.
This winter has felt like the winters of childhood. Where the snowbanks were always talling than you. The excitement of another snow day was always around the corner. Every day was a chore of bundling up. All of that and more has been present in 2019 across the Upper Peninsula and it feels damn good.
It’s just the best.
And for everyone whining, drinking their hot cocoa inside, I assure you, it tastes so much better after getting in the cold.
Fuel more Sunrises
There is plenty more to come from Year of the Sunrise. You can always add a cup of coffee to keep me going strong in the mornings, or a tank of gas to get me to some new places, as the sun keeps rising.
