When I was a teenager I gave away my favorite article of clothing to a girl, for love. It was my cherished Detroit Red Wings jersey. I never saw it again, and have never had another Red Wings jersey. Yesterday, I did it again. This time my favorite button down, a dark green workwear shirt from Patagonia that they no longer make. This time, I’m confident I’ll see it again.
